Removal of coatings or volume removal is possible on almost any material. By means of skilful process control, heat can be selectively deposited in the material so that the heat causes discoloration / oxidation, or as little heat as possible can be introduced into the component, whereby material is removed without any discoloration.

The removal can take place both for design reasons (3D effect) or for purely functional reasons (cleaning / removal of layers).
